JENKS, Okla. - A water main break forced City of Jenks workers to shut off water to a good portion of the city Wednesday.
The break is affecting residents from Elm Street to the levee east of Riverfront Drive and from 101st to north of K Place, according to city officials.
Despite being within the shutoff zone, workers at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks report still having water. The Riverwalk Crossing is also not being impacted.
Crews are expected to have the water back on by 5 p.m. Public Works officials said Wednesday afternoon the break was likely weather-related, as the freeze and thaw cycles caused the ground to shift.
