JENKS, Okla. - Buses with Jenks Public Schools were delayed Monday due to issues with the district's routing software.
Messages went out to parents Monday afternoon, saying delays in arrival times could possibly occur.
"We are working to ensure that students are on the correct bus before leaving the schools," the message read. "We regret any inconvenience this may cause."
Jenks students depend on the software to tell them which bus to ride. Jenks school officials had to look up students' addresses manually to assign them bus numbers, causing about 30 minutes of delays.
Parents may call the transportation department with concerns at (918) 299-4415, and are encouraged to leave a message if not able to speak with a school official.
