JENKS, Okla. - Police stopped a Jenks woman driving fast and erratically Thursday afternoon and found she was driving drunk with four children as passengers.
In addition to a charge of driving under the influence, 62-year-old Donna Jean Rogers faces multiple counts of child endangerment.
According to the affidavit, around 4:30 p.m. police in the area of 151 Street South and South Sheridan saw Rogers' vehicle speed past, traveling in the center of both westbound lanes.
When police activated their lights to stop her, Rogers overcorrected to the right and her vehicle left the roadway, striking the guard rail.
After the vehicle came to a rest an officer approached the car and saw four children seated in the back of the vehicle, all appearing under age 12.
Police speaking with Rogers saw her eyes were red and watery, noticed her speech was slurred and smelled alcohol on her.
Rogers was arrested for driving under the influence and taken to the Bixby jail where she tested 0.21 for breath alcohol content.
