Jenks police ask for help identifying suspect in attempted J-Mart robbery

JENKS, Okla. - Jenks police are investigating an attempted robbery at a convenience store last Monday during which the suspect used a gun and demanded money.

Police say it happened just after 9 p.m.  Feb. 24 at J-Mart at 604 W. Main St.

The suspect entered the store wearing a brown Carhart jacket with the hood up, a black bandana over his face and blue jeans.

Police say the suspect held up a McDonald's sack, pointed a chrome gun at the clerk and said, "You know what to do!"

The clerk, however, refused to hand over any money and the suspect left the store on foot.  He was last seen heading west, then north across Main Street.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, about 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS, text TIP918 to CRIMES or email crimestoppers@cityoftulsa.org.
