Jenks, Bartlesville, Owasso ranked among the top 15 cities in Oklahoma by

Three Green Country cities have been named among the best cities in Oklahoma by

Movoto, a real estate research website, compiled a list of the top 15 cities in the Sooner state with a population of 10,000 or more.

Among the 43 cities in Oklahoma, Jenks, Bartlesville and Owasso made the list at No. 7, No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. 

The list was compiled based on seven criteria: total amenities, quality of life, total crimes, tax rates, unemployment, commute time and weather.

Norman topped the list due to “a low student to teacher ratio of just 17 to 1, a high median household income of $45,209 (that’s 16 percent higher than the rest of the state), a median home price of $143,200, and a median rent price of $698—24 percent higher than Oklahoma.”
