JENKS, Okla. - The Oklahoma Aquarium is preparing to celebrate its 10th year with two events featuring noted ocean explorer and conservationist Jean-Michel Cousteau.
Cousteau, son of Jacques Couseau and founder of The Ocean Futures Society, will hos a reception and dinner on Friday, July 26.
Cousteau will be the guest at a children's event on the next morning, explaining the importance of marine life and how kids can help protect our oceans and the many fish and other species living in them.
The aquarium features features thousands of salt and fresh water fish and animals, including bull sharks, stingrays, seahorses, jellyfish and eels. Featured mammals include river otters, beavers and raccoons.
The Oklahoma Aquarium opened its doors to the public on May 28, 2003.
