CUSHING, Okla. - Cushing Public Schools will be under an increased security presence after the city's police department received a bomb threat.
Cushing police say they have identified two persons of interest involved in the threat, sent through the department's website tip line.
The department, along with the FBI and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad, began investigating Sunday. A day later, their search led them to a Tulsa residence, where they say "numerous items of evidence" were recovered.
Authorities say one of the persons of interest was out of state when initially contacted while the other remains at large.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police department at (918) 225-1212 and ask to speak with Detective Adam Harp or Chief Tully Folden.
