Glenpool assistant city manager leaves for Catoosa on heels of City Manager Tinker's resignation

GLENPOOL, Okla. - The same month Glenpool's city manager announced his retirement after only six months of employment, Assistant City Manager David Tillotson offered his resignation.

In a letter uncovered Friday, Tillotson addressed still-City Manager Ed Tinker, informing the City of Glenpool he had been offered and had accepted the role of city manager for the City of Catoosa.

According to the resignation letter, his final day will be no later than Jan. 31.

"While my family and I have struggled with this decision the past two weeks, we felt that I could not pass on the opportunity to accomplish my professional goals," Tillotson writes.

Catoosa's city council is scheduled to vote on Tillotson's contract Monday. Tillotson was with the City of Glenpool since 2007.
