Homeowner shoots at suspect during break-in

TULSA - A northwest Tulsa homeowner shot at a man who broke into his home overnight. Now police are searching for the suspect.

Just before 1:30 a.m. the homeowner called 911 and told dispatchers he shot a man who broke into his home near West Newton and Gilcrease Museum Road.

When the alarm woke the homeowner up, he says he found a man rummaging through one of the back bedrooms.

After a confrontation, the homeowner fired at least one shot before the suspect escaped through the back door.

Police searched several blocks but they say they have very little information about the suspect.

A woman and two teenage girls were inside the home when the break-in happened.

No one was injured.
