High-speed Tulsa chase ends on bizarre note -- with two arrests and a dog bite

TULSA - A multi-car high-speed chase through midtown Tulsa Friday afternoon ended in a pair of crashed vehicles and a dog bite, according to police.

Investigators say Tulsa police began tailing two trucks believed to be stolen out of Coweta just after 1 p.m.

One of the pickup trucks reportedly crashed near 3rd and Lewis Avenue shortly after, taking out street signs in its path.

Police say the other driver took officers east through the city before hitting another car near Admiral and Yale Avenue. The truck then collided with another car near 5th and Delaware Avenue.

"It was freaking me out really, as big as that truck was," said Jeff Ryals, the driver of the second hit vehicle. "I was worried about getting tipped over in a car."

TPD officials say the runaway driver then managed to get inside an abandoned house nearby, but was bit by a dog before her arrest.

One person was taken to the hospital -- authorities have not yet released the name or condition of the injured.
