Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Catoosa tower construction nearing completion

TULSA - The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is marking a milestone on Monday.

The final beam will be placed on top of the new 10-story tower.

Officials from the Cherokee Nation and the city of Catoosa joined builders for an official topping out ceremony Monday.
Leaders and employees signed the beam before being placed atop the new tower.

The third tower will make the Hard Rock the largest hotel in northeast Oklahoma with 456 rooms and suites.

More than 100 suites and 55,000 square feet will be added with the completion of the tower.

"We are proud of the growth and prosperity of the Cherokee Nation," said Bill John Baker, Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation. "With that prosperity comes the responsibility to serve the Cherokee people and our communities well. This project helps us do that by creating jobs, funding vital services for our citizens and creating economic development opportunities."

Construction will cost $52 million and be complete later this year, according to a press release.
