Group protests north Tulsa shooting spree suspects' bonds

TULSA - A group of protesters set up camp Wednesday in front of the Tulsa County Courthouse, holding up signs protesting the bond of the two Good Friday shooting suspects, Alvin Watts and Jacob England.

Despite the more than $9 million bonds each, the protesters believed the judge should have ordered the suspects to be held without bond instead.

Some say it sends the wrong message, but others, like Demetrice Hardrick, fear the suspects could still find a way to get out of jail.

"The point that they even have a bond doesn't make any sense," said Hardrick.  "They picked off people (who were) just walking the streets and weren't doing anything wrong."

Watts and England are accused of shooting five people last Friday, killing three and injuring two.
