TULSA - Tulsa gained a new Educare Wednesday, becoming the only city in the nation to have three state-of-the-art schools.
The multi-million dollar facility was paid for through private and public funds.
The new school sits right across the street from Nathan Hale Middle School in midtown Tulsa near 21st and Sheridan.
The facility was created with the latest learning trends in mind.
More than 160 students are currently enrolled in Educare, which has about 50 staff members. The school
At a cost of nearly $9 million, it's a state-of-the-art modern school -- everything from the halls to the classrooms was designed to help children develop their senses.
Crews broke ground on Tulsa's newest Educare facility less than a year ago.
There are only 17 of the schools in the nation and OKlahoma is the only state that has four.
The focus at Educare is to prepare children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, from low-income families for school.
