TULSA - Good Friday shooting suspect Jake England will be heading to trial very soon for an alleged incident with a correctional officer.
Prosecutors said England, who faces a host of charges -- including first-degree murder -- for his suspected role in five north Tulsa shootings, elbowed and cursed a prison worker who was transferring him to his cell in November.
England's attorney Clark Brewster said the officer was bullying the high-profile suspect.
No longer at the facility, the officer is now a cop in Illinois.
He also expressed concern that the upcoming trial will negatively affect the outcome of his client's murder trial, for which he could face the death penalty.
England's expected in court Jan. 7 for the alleged assault and battery, two days before his next Good Friday court date.
