Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, sales begin

It’s Girl Scout Cookie time! For all those who have been craving Samoas, Tagalongs, Thin Mints, etc., they are now available as Girl Scouts across the state began selling cookies door-to-door, in front of grocery stores and at their parent’s businesses Saturday.

It’s all a part of National Girl Scout Weekend. Girl Scout cookie sales in Oklahoma begin Feb. 8 and will end March 28.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma kicked off the weekend with a Harlem Globetrotters game at the BOK Center Friday night.

Local Girl Scouts will have six varieties of cookies for sale – Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos and Savannah Smiles.

Local Girl Scout Cookies will be available for $4 a box. Proceeds from sales go to support troop activities and programs.

Girls Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma have also provided the opportunity to send cookies to soldiers through Operation Cookie Drop.
