TULSA - Fire crews spent about 30 minutes putting out an apartment fire near a popular midtown Tulsa intersection.
Firefighters arrived around 9 p.m. Thursday to the complex just north of 15th Street and Peoria Avenue.
Captain Jerry Benefield tells 2NEWS that the fire began near a second floor apartment and spread to the first floor.
All of the residents safely escaped the building.
No one was injured.
"I fully thought this whole place was going to go up," said resident Daniel Bickford. "It's over 100 years old. It's kind of in shambles. I thought the whole place was going to burn down, honestly."
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.
Firefighters say the building sustained at least moderate damage.
Residents will likely be relocated for the evening.
