Firefighters, sheriff's deputies respond to gas line explosion in Creek County

CREEK COUNTY, Okla. - Creek County officials are on the scene of an explosion between Depew and Stroud.

It happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. just south of Highway 66 and Milfay Road.

Officials at the sheriff's office describe the incident as "some sort of gas line explosion" at the ONEOK line.

Stroud firefighters and Creek County deputies responded. ONEOK crews arrived on scene to determine the cause and amount of gas that escaped.

A ONEOK spokesman said damage was isolated to the pipeline and no injuries occurred.
