Fire forces family from apartment

TULSA - Fire forced three people from their home in south Tulsa early Thursday.

It started in an apartment at the Casa Linda complex around 2:30 a.m. near 62nd and South Peoria Avenue.

Firefighters say heavy smoke was coming from the unit when they arrived.

The fire was in the ceiling and investigators believe the cause may have been electrical.

The three people living in the apartment escaped without injury and the Red Cross is helping them with a place to stay.

The fire didn't affect any other residents.
