Claremore, Okla. - A Rogers County community pays their respects to a woman who disappeared 18 years ago.
Sunday, family and friends released dozens of balloons to honor Dione Fox’s memory.
Fox was last seen in 1996.
Last week police exhausted all resources to keep her case alive, but ended the search without any new leads.
Dione’s daughter Desiree saw this as a chance to finally give her mom a memorial service.
“Anybody that has a rainbow sees peace, so not only am I sending out balloons to send my love to her, but I'm sending out a sense of peace,” Desiree Fox explained.
Court records show that Dione was supposed attend a hearing for a protective order violation in September of 1996.
But she never showed up.
Friday, an anonymous donor came forward offering a thousand dollar reward for tips leading to the discovery of Fox's remains.
