TULSA - On the one-month anniversary of the deadly Moore tornado, employees of American Airlines' Tulsa Maintenance Base opened their wallets for the victims.
Employees presented a $50,000 donation to the victims of the recent Oklahoma City-area tornadoes.

Employees donated to the American Giving Charitable Fund, a public nonprofit organization that accepts donations for causes around the globe.

They also filled a number of trucks with items collected for donation.
American employees handed over the donations to the American Red Cross at a presentation Thursday morning at the maintenance base. A blood drive will take place throughout the day to encourage additional giving.
