The twin sister of Terence Crutchercontinues to mourn the loss of her twin brother just one month after the pair’s 40th birthday.

Terence Crutcher was fatally shot by Tulsa police officer Betty Shelby after, a department spokesperson says, he refused to comply with orders to put his hands down. Footage of the incident does show Crutcher with his hands in the air at one point.

Audio from the helicopter footage reveals one person saying "Also, got a feeling it’s about to happen. It looks like a bad dude, too. Might be on something," when arriving on scene.

But Dr. Tiffany Crutcher, says anyone who knew her brother, knew what he was about.

"He had more friends than anyone I knew. He loved to cook and his passion was singing, he loved to sing," said Dr. Crutcher.

Tiffany says Terence had recently started pursuing his passion of singing at Tulsa Community College.

"I got his last text message, that I'm gonna [sic] keep forever and it was like ‘I love you, and I'm gonna make you proud’ and vice versa," said Dr. Crutcher.

Dr. Crutcher said she and Terence had a tradition every year for their birthdays: to celebrate with the same cake.

She went on to say that she still plans on continuing that tradition even after Terence’s death.

"Ever since I could remember we would have a birthday cake, ‘Happy Birthday Terence and Tiffany,’ every year,” said Dr. Crutcher. “Even though I've been in Alabama for a long time they would still get that birthday cake and send me a picture and we're gonna continue that tradition, our birthday was a tradition.”

And she hopes that nostalgia will help her wake up from her nightmare.

"I just feel like I'm in a nightmare, really," said Dr. Crutcher. "I just want to wake up and this all be over tomorrow."
