District attorney requests continuance in Good Friday shooting spree case

TULSA - Prosecutors have asked a judge to postpone the arraignments for two men involved in a deadly shooting spree.

The Tulsa County District Attorney's office have requested a one-month delay to consider giving the death penalty to Jake England and Alvin Watts.

The two are accused of killing three people and wounding two others on Good Friday.

Both men have been charged with murder and Oklahoma's equivalent of hate crimes in connection to the fatal shootings.

The shootings happened in a predominantly black section of the city and all of the victims were black.

Authorities believe the victims may have been targeted to avenge England's father's shooting death by a black man two years ago.
