Deputies found two men dead Wednesday while doing a welfare check in Mannford.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a health care worker called the Pawnee County Sheriff's Department around noon Wednesday to have deputies check on two patients at the West Basin Road.
"(When) we arrived a deputy did go up and make entry into the house," said Pawnee County Sheriff Mike Waters. "We did find two deceased males in the house. We did immediately back out, called OSBI and their forensic team."
"We do know that a gun was involved. We do feel at this time that it is an isolated incident here in this residence and the citizens here in Pawnee County are safe at this point in time," he said,
The medical examiner will make positive identification on both bodies and determine causes of death.
Officials say the bodies were likely inside the home for a few days, making decomposition an issue.
