TULSA - The Tulsa County district attorney is helping hundreds of families grieve the loss of loved ones by bringing the community together around crime victims.
Hundreds of Tulsa County crime victims and the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing will be remembered Tuesday as families plant flowers at the Buddy LaFortune Park in their honor.
"We remember families who have lost loved ones. We all share a little bit when we look at Boston, these victims had their lives torn apart and then they struggle back and we want to honor their struggle to put their lives back together," said Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris.
Harris said this is a day to help survivors cope with the feelings of their loss.
The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday and marks the National Crime Victims Rights Week.
