Two arrested on robbery complaints after six-hour standoff in Claremore

CLAREMORE -- Two people are in custody after a six-hour standoff in Claremore Saturday.

Officials say Claremore police were on routine patrol, when they noticed something suspicious at a house on the 1000 block of North Faulkner Drive at 10 a.m..

After a closer look, Claremore police said it appeared the house was being burglarized.

Tulsa Police Department tactical units were called in to assist Claremore, when the suspects refuse to exit the home.

Two suspects, Candace Renee Marshall and Mathew Lee Smalley, were forced out of the home by gas around 4:15 p.m.

The two were arrested on complaints of robbery. Police said the two also had other felony warrants.

They are being held in the Rogers County Jail.
