CLAREMORE, Okla. - A Rogers State professor for the majority of the past two decades was killed in a car accident Tuesday, university officials have confirmed.
RSU officials said Wednesday Dr. David Tait, an associate professor of History and Political Science who'd been teaching at the campus since 1996, died as a result of an automobile-pedestrian accident.
"Our hearts go out to his wife, Dr. Laura Hubbs-Tait, their son Aaron and daughter Aidan, as well as those who knew him as a professor, colleague and friend," a statement on the school's website reads.
Funeral services are pending. RSU has also provided a grief counselor, who can be reached at (918) 343-7845.
