Authorities ID Oklahoma couple killed in Arkansas plane crash as Pryor natives Ivan, Adina Williams

HUNTSVILLE, Ark. -- A Pryor, Okla. couple headed home from a trip to Alabama crashed in northwest Arkansas, an official with the Madison County Sheriff confirmed Tuesday evening.

The bodies of Ivan B. Williams III, 63, and Adina Beth Williams, 52, were pulled from the wreckage of their single-engine Piper Saratoga early Tuesday morning. Madison County Sgt. Russell Alberts confirmed their identities around 7:30 p.m.

Search crews began looking for the downed plane Monday when Huntsville residents reported hearing a "boom" nearby. The plane, which was expected to fly in to Claremore Regional Airport, was found on a wooded hillside, where it appeared to clip dozens of tree limbs as it descended.

Ivan Williams, a 1972 University of Arkansas graduate and president of a successful construction company, purchased the aircraft just more than a month ago, according to court records.
