Matthew Fuller, Chelsea man, arrested for stolen pickup truck, 3,000-pound copper theft

ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. - Authorities believe they have arrested a suspect responsible for a massive copper theft from a ranch near Chelsea, Okla.

Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Special Ranger John Cummings said the suspect broke into the victim's barn, loaded a pickup truck with three 750-foot coils of large diameter copper cable and drove off.  The approximately 3,000 pounds worth of wire were worth approximately $7,000.

Cummings says authorities recovered the pickup from Chelsea Lake June 3 and the copper wire was recovered June 12 in brush on a property in Rogers County.

Matthew James Fuller, 26, was arrested Tuesday by Rogers County sheriff's deputies. He's been charged with burglary, grand larceny and malicious destruction of private property.

Fuller was released on a $5,000 bond. According to jail records, he's due in court July 2.
