The fifth annual Route 66 Pecan and Nut Festival is happening now at The Nuthouse, on Hwy 66 just outside of Claremore.
The event is held each year to kick off pecan harvesting season.
Main events highlighted for the weekend include a craft show, car show, mechanical bull rides, pumpkin painting, Red Dirt Co. T-shirt dying, chainsaw carving, a western gunfight re-enactment, petting zoo and camel rides.
Candies, fudge and nuts from The Nuthouse, as well as food from Brownie's Hamburgers and Smokin' Sisters BBQ will also be on sale.
The event runs from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 20.
Admission and parking are free.
