Claremore man killed in Rogers County wreck after running stop sign, hitting embankment

ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. - A Claremore man was killed Thursday morning in a wreck on a rural Rogers County road.

It happened at the intersection of South 4190 Road and Akin Road around 12:45 a.m.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Christopher James Ketcham was pinned for three and a half hours after he drove his 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix through a stop sign at a "T" intersection, hitting the embankment.

The car caught fire and burned while Ketcham was still inside.

Ketcham was freed by Tri-District Fire Department but he was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive injuries.
