TULSA – Downtown visitors will have a new solar powered option to pay for parking in the Brady Arts District.

The City of Tulsa chose Parkeon as its new vendor for a parking meter system.

As funding becomes available, the new meters will begin to replace the current parking meter system. Temporary signage will be used as the city transitions from one meter to the new solar powered, self-sustaining meters.

Credit cards and coins will be accepted for payment. Users can also pay by the mobile app or by calling a phone number. A two hour parking limit will still be in place.

“Over time, the goal is to have all of the antiquated parking meters updated to one centralized meter and management system. Eventually, the City hopes to have a mixture of single space meters and electronic Parking Pay Stations that work together on one platform with all types of parking spaces in Tulsa.”
