Children's Advocacy Center of Craig, Mayes and Rogers counties accepting donations for new facility

CLAREMORE, Okla. - A house warming drive is underway for the Children's Advocacy Center in Craig, Mayes and Rogers counties.

Last year the agency provided services to more than 300 children in the community.

The CAC provides a safe and child-friendly facility for coordinated intervention in child abuse cases.  Among its many services, the center provides on-site medical exams,forensic interviews, mental health treatment and advocacy for suspected victims of abuse and neglect.

Requested donations include individual snacks, bottled water, juice boxes, cans of soda, bright washable craft paint, paint brushes, coloring books, crayons, colorful chalk, stuffed animals and toys (new or gently used), backpacks and school supplies, diapers, baby wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, old magazines, white copy paper and clothes and shoes for children ages 0 to 18 (new or gently used).

From now until Feb. 9, you may drop off donations at the following designated areas:
