ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. - A high-speed chase ended overnight when the suspect, who officers are calling a "career criminal," careened into a light pole.
Around 12:30 a.m. a Rogers County deputy attempted to stop the vehicle for a routine traffic violation near the Hard Rock Casino on 193rd East Avenue, but the suspect took off.
Officers from Rogers County, Broken Arrow and Coweta all joined the pursuit.
Officials say the chase through Coweta and into Broken Arrow reached speeds more than 100 miles per hour.
Officers say the suspect tried ramming police vehicles and forced other drivers onto the shoulder.
The chase ended when the suspect crashed into a light pole. He was taken away in an ambulance.
No one else was injured.
Authorities haven't identified the suspect but they say they found loaded guns and drugs in the man's car. He is facing a variety of charges.
