TULSA - Police are praising the efforts of a Tulsa Transit bus driver who may have helped save a man's life late Monday.
Shortly after 11 p.m. police said a man was crossing railroad tracks near New Haven and Pine in north Tulsa when a red early '90s model Ford pickup truck hit him.
Tulsa Police Officer Amley Floyd said a bus driver saw it all happen and jumped into action.
"The driver from Tulsa Transit did an awesome job," said Floyd. "She got here, stayed with him, performed CPR, pressed record on her bus camera and, apparently, the video on the bus caught the suspect vehicle as it left the scene."
Police told 2NEWS it may take a day or two to get access to the video of the hit-and-run from the bus camera, but officers expect to find the license plate number and learn more about who was behind the wheel.
As of Tuesday morning the victim's injuries and condition were not available.
