BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Water woes continue Wednesday for those living in Broken Arrow.
On Tuesday, a water main break had city officials urging residents to conserve, saying storage tanks were "at critically low levels." A warning was issued that water could run out in Broken Arrow by early Tuesday evening.
Though repairs were completed late Tuesday evening, water pressure remains low all around the city as the storage tanks are refilled.
A boil order is in effect until further notice for anyone using city water to cook or drink. City pools and splash pads remain closed until the advisory is lifted.
On Wednesday, the Tulsa Health Department ordered all restaurants in Broken Arrow serving open food to cease operations, including fountain and drink services, because the volume of water necessary to run a restaurant safely is not available, according to health officials.
