The first ever Turn Broken Arrow Pink "Pink Hatters Tea Party" kicks off Friday.
Tulsans are invited to show up in extravagant hats to raise awareness for cancer research. Proceeds from this event will benefit 10 local charities in green country that assist women and children affected by cancer.
Organizers are planning an afternoon of food, raffles and a hat contest. Judi Grove, founder of Breast Impressions and Director of Turn Tulsa Pink, will be this year's guest speaker.
Tables, tickets, and sponsorships are still available to be purchased. Prices start at $300, advance tickets are $35 or $50 at the door.
The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center, located at 701 South Main Street in Broken Arrow.
