Slick roads caused a major accident in BA, police still investigating

Broken Arrow Police are investigating a major injury collision that occurred at the intersection of W. Memphis and S. Elm Pl in Broken Arrow at about 12:40pm on Sunday afternoon.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a maroon Toyota Camry was east bound on W. Memphis Str. and was unable to stop for a stop sign. The Toyota slid into the intersection of S. Elm Pl. where it was struck by a gold Lexus SUV traveling south bound. The driver of the Toyota was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.

The driver of the Lexus was not transported and suffered only minor injuries. The identity of the injured is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

              This collision is still under investigation by Officer Chris Chambers with the Traffic Specialist Unit
