BROKEN ARROW, Okla.- Green Country students participating in high impact sports next fall received a dose of preventive medicine Wednesday.
They were under going baseline concussion testing.
The purpose of the testing is so the student's cognitive functions prior to a head injury can be compared to after to help determine if the student suffered a concussion.
"The impact is measuring their verbal and visual memory skills, the speed and reaction time on this computer test," said Daniel Steward, Certified Athletic Trainer.
High impact sports include cheerleading, wrestling, soccer and football.
