BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Broken Arrow police are investigating a report of sexual battery by a 14-year-old girl who was on her way to school when she was attacked.
Police say they responded just before 8 a.m. Thursday to the 2500 block of West Fulton Street, near West New Orleans and South Aspen Avenue.
The teen told officers a man grabbed her and asked her to perform a sexual act on him.
Police say the victim escaped from the suspect and ran to school, where she alerted authorities.
Officers canvassed the area and located 27-year-old Peter Nolan, who they say matched the victim's description of the suspect. The victim then provided police with a positive identification of Nolan as the suspect.
Nolan was arrested for sexual battery.
Police say Nolan is a registered sex offender. In 2007 he was convicted of sexual battery on a person older than 16 years old.
Police say Nolan faces likely charges of lewd molestation of a minor younger than 16 and lewd proposals to a minor younger than 16.
