BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - An arrest has been made in the murder of a Broken Arrow teen nearly eight years ago, deputies announced Friday.
The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office announced Friday afternoon 24-year-old Courtney Manzer was taken into custody on first-degree murder charges. The office, in a release, emphasized her arrest "does not conclude the investigation" into Jarret Clark's murder.
Clark, an 18-year-old Broken Arrow High School student, was found dead in 2006 after leaving for a graduation party at Fort Gibson Lake. His body was recovered from the lake.
Just four days ago, Wagoner County authorities set up a tip line to assist in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call (918) 845-7847 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Callers can remain anonymous.
The Sheriff's Office re-opened their investigation into Clark's death in 2012. No arrests had been made nor charges filed before Manzer's arrest. Information was presented to two grand juries in 2007 and 2008, but no indictments were returned.
