A Broken Arrow man is in custody after a high-speed chase early Tuesday.

A highway patrol trooper said he saw a silver Honda speeding as it exited the Creek Turnpike onto Mingo around 12:45 a.m.

The trooper said the driver refused to stop, tried to exit too fast and hit a curb before heading northbound on Mingo.

The driver hit speeds approaching 100 mph, made a hard right turn onto 81st Street, drove through a gas station parking lot and turned southbound onto Mingo, according to arrest records.

The pursuit continued to 131st Street where the trooper was able to perform a pit maneuver causing the suspect to spin out and off the roadway.

The trooper arrested 19-year-old Taylor Kazmierczak for speeding, attempting to elude, driving under suspension, DUI and other traffic and drug-related charges.
