OKLAHOMA CITY - Officials are investigating after a body was found in an Oklahoma City landfill Tuesday morning.
NBC affiliate KFOR reports that on February 2nd, police were made aware of a missing female teenager.
The teen was reportedly missing for a while. Monday, officials say they received information about the teen that led them to the landfill in Oklahoma City.
Tuesday morning, officials confirmed that they found human remains in the landfill. The state medical examiner will determine whether or not the human remains belong to the missing teen.
Now, police say the case is being investigated as a suspicious death. At this time, authorities have not released any additional information.
