BIXBY, Okla. - Last minute preparations for the Green Country tradition begin; the Green Corn Festival begins June 27 in Bixby.
The annual event is a throwback to the old-fashioned family gatherings. There is food, music and lots of games and events.
"The big underwear race usually does draw a pretty big crowd. It's sort of fun, and if you win, you get the rights to the fastest briefs in town," said Kevin Dean, Bixby Optimist Club.
The Green Corn Festival runs through Saturday June 29 in downtown Bixby near 151st and Memorial. Click here for a full list of events.
