CLEVELAND, Okla. - A man armed with an AR-15 rifle and an ample amount of ammunition surrendered to police from a woman's Cleveland home Wednesday, where he had been holed up for nearly five fours.
The man, Craig Allen Clark, arrived at the woman's home around noon after burglarizing another residence in Pawnee County earlier in the morning, according to Cleveland police. The woman, whom he reportedly knew, left the house and called authorities after he showed up.
Police, and later an Oklahoma Highway Patrol tactical unit, surrounded the property, canvassing about a three-block radius. Nearby homes were also evacuated due to the nature of the rifle's firing power.
Despite admitted communication issues with Clark, the suspect exited the home just before 5 p.m., surrendering himself to custody.
