TULSA - An EMSA ambulance was in an accident Friday afternoon involving one other vehicle.
Around 1:30 p.m., the ambulance was driving westbound from the off ramp at I-44 and Peoria, preparing to turn south.
Police say the ambulance had its lights on and sirens going. All vehicles yielded at the intersection except a Jeep driving northbound.
Police say the Jeep was driving full speed when it collided with the ambulance in the intersection of Peoria.
Officials say the Jeep's driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police say they suffered a broken femur and possibly a broken elbow.
No other injuries were reported.
The driver was issued tickets for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and failing to wear a seatbelt.
