BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Air conditioning companies across the area are staying busy as temperatures continue to rise.
Mike Betor, a technician with the company, says he has seen countless heat-related problems over the past several days.
In some cases, he says he sees units which just stop working. He also says he encounters systems which simply need a filter replaced.
Betor believes avoiding these problems simply comes down to proper maintenance. "If you have your machine checked regularly, we can prevent a lot of failures and breakdowns in the hottest part of the season," he said.
Betor recommends every unit be checked twice a year. He says it could save customers up to 15 percent annually on utility bills.
