State agents are cracking down on businesses along Tulsa's 15th street after receiving complaints of intoxicated people passing out in public places.
Agents with the Alcoholic Beverage Law Enforcement Commission say they're watching liquor stores like The Barn, near 15th & Lewis. Agents have arrested two workers and a customer at The Barn since June 15.
ABLE Agent Eric Smoot said homeless people are the primary culprit, and can be seen stumbling into liquor stores off the popular Tulsa street visibly drunk, still managing to leave with even more bottles.
Thus was the case at The Barn, Smoot says.
Smoot expects more arrests as the temperatures continue to rise. He says alcohol and the heat are a dangerous, even deadly combination.
