20 gallons of sulfuric acid spill on Highway 75, Tulsa Fire responds for cleanup

TULSA - A sulfuric acid spill is affecting traffic on Highway 75 Monday morning.

Tulsa Fire crews have responded to the spill in the northbound lanes of the highway near the 21st Street Arkansas River bridge.

Tulsa police dispatch say about 20 gallons spilled onto the roadway after the truck filled up.

A Hazmat official on scene said the truck wasn't secured after filling up, which caused the leak.

ODOT closed the right lane of the highway between Southwest Boulevard and the bridge.

Cleanup is expected to last several hours.
