2 Porter school employees arrested for embezzlement

WAGONER, Okla. - Two former Porter Consolidated Schools employees are free on bond following their arrests last month on charges of felony embezzlement.

Ashley Myers, 29, and Lorri Tedder, 48, are accused of together making nearly $4,000 in unauthorized Walmart purchases using school-issued credit cards approved only for use on school-related needs.

Police made the arrests following an investigation after Oct. 22 when the Porter Public Schools Superintendent Mark Fenton submitted a report to Wagoner police about school employees making unauthorized purchases.

According to police, the investigation revealed Fedder used her card once at the Wagoner store and once in Coweta and Myers, three times in Wagoner, nine times in Muskogee and once in Coweta.

Fenton told police Tedder had been employed by the school for approximately 18 years and Myers, approximately three years.

The two women posted their $5,000 bonds Nov. 27 and are ordered back to court on Dec. 12.
