11 new West Nile cases reported by state health officials

TULSA - Eleven new cases of West Nile virus have been reported in Oklahoma since last Thursday, according to state health officials.

On Tuesday, the Oklahoma State Department of Health released its first West Nile update of the week.

The number of Oklahoma West Nile cases has jumped from 133 to 144, though no new deaths have been reported.

A total of eight deaths across the state have been attributed to West Nile virus this season, three of which occurred in Tulsa County.
